At Gem & Tonic we treat the skin holistically and utilize botanical medicine for external applications to improve skin health and increase circulation of the blood and lymph or detoxify the skin. Chinese medicine dermatology and skin care involves topical application of ground herbs and mixing with a medium to absorb into the skin.

Face mask: applied to the face during a skin care treatment to decrease hyper pigmentation, brighten and tighten the skin.

Body Wraps: for eczema, poison oak, acne, perioral dermatitis, and all over bug bites.

Poultices: ideal for muscular or bone related injuries with bruising, broken bones, or lack of mobility. (ie, shoulder wrap with blood moving herbs)
